We call our attention to Winter,
to the coldness,
to the stillness,
to the darkness
and the white-ness.
We recognize
the stirrings of life
deep within
our earth;
deep within
ourselves:
Energies curled in seeds
below blankets
of snow, frost, stone, and soil.
Mother Earth is stirring
and we are stirred;
Stretching, feeling, reaching through
the coldness,
the stillness,
the darkness and white-ness.
