on the top or even plainly

by your story,
needing is too needy
consider me not unseemly
Again I wonder for far too longly
just how odd, awkward, or slickly
you sent me up cleanly
and yet some are not anything but dirty
how you deal it and steal it 
not unlike someone so rooted deeply 
and formed unquickly
by some prodigiously lifted glass
picky and poised, random and wise
and full of sass without being crass
I’ll drink to that
