{yikes} Okay,
that was read on a heavy day
with a heavy heart
okay, I admit.
I don’t [want to?] get it

Must mystery be
if we must part
please I ask you
do not replace
mystery for mystery
one that’s old,
 for one that’s new

what you wish
it will be
{if I am reading you}
but spell it o u t.
don’t leave me here
in to pout about

I wait still
for you
right here

because today the rain
paints my vision
and today is not the day
for any kind of decision

I wait still
for you
right here

May I not have offended
and caused
some
[mumbles]

it will be carried weightily
some still
until

it will be
my awkward cheers
wailing out hopes
and fears [for years?]

I wait still
for you
right here.
